YOYOIndia is an interactive, user-empowered portal and an online community. It is the first major social networking site dedicated for everything India built from ground up to present and bring together people based on their interests, geography and offering open API for developers to build their own YOYO's.

YOYOIndia is the brainchild of Lavisha Mirpuri and Raj Nukala. YOYOIndia concept first came to Lavisha while she was on one of the Indian Portals where she experienced pop-up ads and finding information was like finding a needle in haystack. After talking to friends and realizing how many others had shared a similar experience, she decided to implement an online social network and a portal which is clutter free.
